The JAZZ lamps are exhibited as part of Snedkernes EfterĂĄrsudstilling's 40th anniversary at Sophienholm. JAZZ is a 'disruption' of Le Klint's classic pleated lampshades.
At first glance, the pleats seem to be 'out of step', but if you look closer you may discover a varied and complex rhythm.
The pendulum floats like a cloud of rhythmic sound and the floor lamp stands like a music stand with the score filled with tones. 'JAZZ is a visual and luminous tribute to music in space.'
I have designed JAZZ together with designer Søren Jakobsen and the exhibition models are made in collaboration with Le Klint
